"I'm working on building muscle this year. I want to be stronger!" Probably what I have said the last 3 years about my fitness goals when the New Year rolls around.
But really. I think I've done a good job of defining more muscle in a few spots on my body, but I don't want just my legs to be stronger or my abs. I want an overall strong body. With my petite frame, high metabolism, and active/healthy lifestyle, it can be hard for me to gain a lot of muscle - not that I want to be jacked lol.
I like to dance and run, I also like veggies more than I like meat. This year I'm trying find new ways to get a good amount of protein as well as find new cardio that doesn't always burn my muscle too.
Being strong is beautiful, but being yourself is even more beautiful. I have to remind myself that sometimes when I'm frustrated that I don't like to push myself a ton with weightlifting and pushing protein all the time. No matter what your fitness and health goals are this year, just remember that you are beautiful just how you were made to be! XX Haley
