I cannot even begin to explain how excited we were to be upgrading our mattress to a King AND that it is memory foam!! I had always heard amazing things about Lull bed and man are people right!

First of all, it comes in a box and was so easy to open and take care of. We built our cute new bed frame right before it arrived, opened the box, and BOOM- we were on our way to a better nights sleep!

I probably slept the best I had in like a year that night. I used to wake up with neck and back pain and I felt like a new woman the next morning. Austin could say the same for himself. We love it! (the cats do too of course haha)

Right now you can get $250 off your purchase - yes I said it $250 OFF!! So don't miss out on this sale if you are in need of better sleep and less back or neck pain!

THANK YOU X 1000000 to Lull Bed for sending us our dream mattress & helping us get better sleep!

Master Bedroom Freshen Up!

Since I work in the home textile industry, I'm always looking at the best of the best when it comes to bedding. I'm also ALWAYS switching it up in our bedroom. Since we moved in thought I just hadn't found our "fit" for winter bedding. Brooklinen was here to save the day! We are both on the warmer side of sleepers so I wanted sheets that could keep us from getting too hot but we love having a fluffy hotel comforter feel.

We have the Luxe Core sheet set in the graphite and the Cotton Duvet Cover in Graphite & Steel Oxford Stripe. Love this combo!! Austin was excited to move away from the white that I was always using haha. PS. they have a lot on sale right now!!!

Had to mention that our cats LOVE the comfort and softness of the duvet cover!

Here's to the New Year and getting better sleep in better, more sustainable bedding!

Freshen Up When Working From Home

Transitioning to working from home is easier said than done. However, with my blog, I work a bit in the evenings and on the weekends with it. SO with that said I have a few tips for you all stuck at home instead of grinding in the office!
  1. Clean up Your workspace! Whether that's your kitchen, desk, home office, couch, or even your bed (I do it all)! Having distractions around you that don't make you feel productive can slow you down, just do a quick tidy up before bed or right when you get up to work.
  2. Forget about that "dress up like you are going to work" stigma. For me, I get up and still shower and change. BUT I'm most likely changing out of pjs and into sweats or leggings. If I have to do a video call, I throw on a sweater over my top and I'm good haha.
  3. Take a lunch break, water break, or even a quick walk. So many times, I just sit down and realize it's noon and I haven't even gotten a drink of water or walked around my apartment. I'm making a conscious effort to get up every 45 min or so to make sure I get a drink and stretch my legs. Helps break up the day and makes me feel so much better!
  4. Treat yourself!! If you always work from home, still do it! If you don't, well,  go for it! Treat yourself to that midday smoothie and face mask. Nobody knows what you look like with that face mask on during your sales analysis or emailing :)

Enjoy this extra time at home. It might just be the boost you need once we all head back to the office - relaxed, rested, and ready to run again!

It was time for a little refresh in my bedroom, and what better time to do so than right before the new year! I had also been wanting to print out some of our engagement photos and start a little gallery wall, so I decided to replace the tapestry behind my bed and bring in my winter bedding.

So fresh and feminine! I've got to have as much pink in the house while I still can ya know ;) The wall was super inexpensive. I got these frames from Target for only $7.50! I think Maui loves it more than I do haha!

A personal touch with Aura Frames

I love have personal pictures scattered about my home. It just makes it feel so much more homey! We take so many pictures that I am always want to hang them or switch them out. That's too much though haha! When Aura Frames sent me their digital frame I was so excited! It can be set on a timer for when you get home from work and it can adjust to favorites by who stands nearby when one slides through the screen. I love that I can keep the photos up to date and that I'm not dealing with having to go upload, print, and frame pictures as often!

Aura would be an AMAZING gift from moms, besties, grandmothers- just in time for Mother's Day! They have plenty of options for style tastes and it's super user friendly! I'm also super picky about picture quality and this seriously makes my pictures just come to life it's so bright and pretty!

Thank you Aura Frames for sending me this gift!

I'm so obsessed with my new couch! Pretty much my entire apartment, but I decorated the entire thing based around my custom Burrow couch.

A friend of mine introduced me to Burrow right when I was starting to apartment shop and I knew full well that I was about to have to completely furnish one for the first time. Daunting let me tell you! And yet so much fun!! It's taken awhile but I have put thought into every corner of my apartment to make it the perfect home for me, and trust me it's so worth it!

This couch was seriously so easy from start to finish. Lemme tell you how Burrow works!

First, head to their site here. Their luxury couches are stain resistant, durable, and free of retail markups and expensive shipping! All of their wood is sustainably sourced and materials are free of harmful chemical treatments, plus recycled packaging. Now do I have your attention!?

After you decide weather you want a chair, sofa, sectional, or ottoman comes the fun part- colors! I chose the sofa 3-seater in crushed gravel with medium stain legs and I'm obsessed because from a once over it looks grey but very close up it's white and black threads. I went with the low arms because I like to nap on my couch ;) and that's just more comfy for me. AND I cannot forget!! It has a hidden USB charger!!!! Perfect for those late night Netflix binges when you're too dang lazy to go get your charger because your phone is at a terrifying 5%.

Next up, they ship it to you in 3 cute yellow boxes (or I guess more if you got an ottoman) and easy to follow directions on how to set it up on your own. It probably took me only max 30 min to do but that's because I'm weak and on the 3rd floor. It hooks together easily, and then you add the legs and ta-da you have a new, fancy couch! I'm obsessed, my family is, my sister is jealous (haha sorry Kristin), and Austin can comfortably stretch out his long legs :) Super happy with it, go check them out!

Thank you so, so much to Burrow for my beautiful new couch and sponsoring this post!

WELCOME to my home page!! I can't wait for you all to follow along on all things home decor with me :) As some of you probably know, I moved into my first apartment a little over a month ago, and I am so in love with it. It is pretty much finished and I finally feel like I can share it with you all. I have always had a spot in my heart for home design and I'm so excited to add this to my blog. I also work in home decor now, so I will always be working to keep my place right on top of the home trends.

First sneak peak: the kitchen. The first part of my place that I had decorated and ready to roll once I moved in. I got these awesome adjustable bar stools at Hobby Lobby after searching forever for the perfect one's that would tie in with my living room furniture.

Fresh flowers are always a must in my kitchen and now I'm only, like, a one minute drive from a local florists... dangerous? Probably haha! My biggest kitchen struggle though is actually keeping it stocked with food. I need to work on that and maybe even try to food prep more. We shall see about that one ;)

Happy to have you along!
