What kind of coffee shop closes early on a Saturday? Especially if it's called Weekend coffee?! Sad day because we were on the hunt and heard it was a super cute spot. Anyways, Austin and I ended up in the West End area of Dallas after that heartbreak of a football game and I couldn't stop twirling in this asymmetrical skirt! I love the mix of ruffles with the stripes and how easy midi skirts are to just throw on and go. I got this whole outfit from Hello Luvvy, the cutest little shop and know I will be wearing it a lot into the fall. I am also obsessed with this white tee because it's not so basic and goes great with anything! They also have it in black and both the shirt and skirt on sale for $18 each, what a steal!! I love all of their fun fall products coming in and need to stop by again for some cooler weather clothes.
Thanks Hello Luvvy for sponsoring this post!
Back from the long weekend and ready for the next! On our last day off of Summer, Austin and I took a day trip to Kansas City. I always like to have a quick getaway before the school years starts up and I get super busy. We drove up for the day and went to the Country Club Plaza, ate the ever yummy and cute Brio for lunch and shopped around. The perfect little day? Yeah, and don't forget our mega car ride jams to anything from Bruno to Khalid! My favorite :)
I came across this dress from Free People a little while ago and fell in love. It has a bell sleeve but with a slit (extra points for me there) and it's just super easy, breezy to throw on! Not to mention the perfect cut and material for wearing a bralette :) Also don't miss out because it's on sale right now! It's honestly the perfect dress for anything: date night, girls night out, farmer's market and brunch... endless. Shop my look by clicking on the small picture above!
Have a wonderful short week!
SWIM SUIT / SUNGLASSES (Similar) / NAIL POLISH
This one piece was $25!! What!!!?!? I searched everywhere and could NOT find one to fit me that I actually liked. I was too scared to order because I knew it would take too many returns. My struggle is that I'm an XS with a size small height for a one piece, so basically impossible right? Anyways, on vacation we went into Cotton On and I decided to give it one more try and found this little pink number on sale :) So for all you petite girls out there, I would totally recommend looking at these. I also really liked this strappy one. Remember when wearing a one piece was so lame, like five years ago? I honestly don't think I ever owned one except for when I was a little kid, which is probably why I really struggled to find one I loved that wasn't too basic.
Give me a cute suit, fun sunnies, and a good book and I could stay at the beach all day. Walk a little, get in the waves for awhile and listen to the shore, now that equals the perfect lazy day :) Right now I am re-reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and I forgot how inspiring and good it is! I feel like every woman should read this book (once as a teen and once as an adult).
Have a happy & sunny week!! XX

NYC you have my heart after those last nine days! So much to see and do every single day and I feel like you could never run out of things to do, even if that is just people watching. I picked this jacket up during Macy's sale one day because it was so chilly and I of course didn't have a jacket. It's the ultimate bomber! I feel like I always see the same bombers everywhere and that's why I didn't have one. This one ,however, was too feminine and unique to pass up. I am ALWAYS cold and somehow that's the one thing on a trip I neglect to bring and always have to run out and buy. No logic.
The Flatiron building was at the top of my list to see and on our last day we had most of it free so we tracked it down and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery around us. There were so many nannies and cute kids out and about at the park and it made me want to consider that as a job one day ;)
I have received a lot of questions about my glasses so here is the link and discount code (IFIQ7SLD4I) for $10 OFF a pair from Eye Buy Direct!
Austin found a sneaky way to get close to the sign through Hollywood Lake Park.
Cali come back... or more like I need to go back. These photos are from a walk we took on Spring Break and the houses were so dreamy! Succulents everywhere and I'm so confused how they stay alive and grow so large because I have a little baby one that I have been trying to keep alive for some time and it struggles both inside and outside. Any tips!?
Today I'm talking mules, the IT shoe of the season that I cannot get enough of. I wear mine with so many different outfits. Jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, dressed up or down. Too scared to try the crazy colored or furry ones? Go for the simple black ones, trust me you will fall in love! These floral ones matched the houses around the Venice Beach water canal area perfectly with all of the landscaping and bright colors. We thought it was pretty cool that we were walking around the area that Valentine's Day was filmed (yeah, yeah so cheesy).
Also, this backpack!! I'm obsessed and don't know why I never got one sooner. It holds everything I need in a purse plus my camera and lenses and maybe a change of shoes! I searched forever for the perfect one (ask Austin because I probably drove him crazy looking for one) and came across this Isaac Mizrahi one at T.J. Maxx on mega sale. Seriously, I got it for $20 instead of the original $248 and it's perfect!
Last night Austin and I went to see Jojo in concert, yes you know who I'm talking about. She's seriously so good and SO GOOD live! Smaller, intimate concerts are so much better to me because they aren't as crazy but still so much fun, and closer! Tonight I cannot wait to celebrate my roommate's 21st birthday, because I missed it for Jojo, I'm the worst. Girl's night! Now I'm the only one waiting around to be legal ;) I hope everyone is making it through the week, I'm off to get ready!
