Cali come back... or more like I need to go back. These photos are from a walk we took on Spring Break and the houses were so dreamy! Succulents everywhere and I'm so confused how they stay alive and grow so large because I have a little baby one that I have been trying to keep alive for some time and it struggles both inside and outside. Any tips!?
Today I'm talking mules, the IT shoe of the season that I cannot get enough of. I wear mine with so many different outfits. Jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, dressed up or down. Too scared to try the crazy colored or furry ones? Go for the simple black ones, trust me you will fall in love! These floral ones matched the houses around the Venice Beach water canal area perfectly with all of the landscaping and bright colors. We thought it was pretty cool that we were walking around the area that Valentine's Day was filmed (yeah, yeah so cheesy).
Also, this backpack!! I'm obsessed and don't know why I never got one sooner. It holds everything I need in a purse plus my camera and lenses and maybe a change of shoes! I searched forever for the perfect one (ask Austin because I probably drove him crazy looking for one) and came across this Isaac Mizrahi one at T.J. Maxx on mega sale. Seriously, I got it for $20 instead of the original $248 and it's perfect!
Last night Austin and I went to see Jojo in concert, yes you know who I'm talking about. She's seriously so good and SO GOOD live! Smaller, intimate concerts are so much better to me because they aren't as crazy but still so much fun, and closer! Tonight I cannot wait to celebrate my roommate's 21st birthday, because I missed it for Jojo, I'm the worst. Girl's night! Now I'm the only one waiting around to be legal ;) I hope everyone is making it through the week, I'm off to get ready!
How precious is this saucer!? The Arsaga's off of the square in Fayetteville is so cute and I finally went to check it out the other day to catch up on some things. I love their chia latte :)
Happy Sunday friends! How did the weekend go so fast?? I just looked at the clock and the entire day just blew by! I'm hoping this week I can catch up and get the rest of my Spring Break posts up. I feel like the next thing I know this semester will be wrapping up and I'll be on my way to NYC for almost two weeks!! Then, only one semester left and I guess I'll be off to be a big girl... Eeeekk!
Anyways, what I really want to talk about: I have had my LV Zippy wallet for about a year now, and it's still my favorite! I love that I can use it without needing a purse because it's big enough and nice to just carry around without a purse when I'm just out and about. It is now available on The Real Real for almost half the price! What!? The Real Real offers luxury consignment and shopping for those who just can't get enough of their favorite designer brands at up to 90% off! They offer pretty much any designer you could wish for from Chanel and Burberry to Hermes. Consignment is easy as well, you just send in your item and they check for authenticity and offer you their best price. Also, they often have promos running on their website for extra discounts :) Go check out their website here and get your luxury fix!
Getting ready for a busy week, stay tuned!! XX
My must-have for a road trip or travel in general? Graphic tee!! Comfy, cute, and goes with just about anything! People always ask me what I'm packing for a trip because I'm pretty picky about my comfort when traveling. I teamed up with Thread Tank to show you my road trip packing essentials. They had SO many different styles on their website that it was hard to choose just one! My favorite one is probably the LOCAL tee because lets face it, now days in Northwest Arkansas, it's rare to find a true local.
Here are my top items to pack for a road trip:
Graphic tees (duh!?)
Boyfriend jeans- because I want to still look cute when I get out of the car but they are movable!
Sneakers, a sweater, and joggers
Sunglasses & a comfortable watch
Bralettes: Fancy and casual ;)
Fujifilm Polaroid- Don't miss all the cute landmarks!
Go check out their huge selection of graphic tees, theres one for everyone, trust me!
Thanks Thread Tank for hooking me up with such fun tees! XOX
If I have a Saturday morning off, I love rolling out of bed for some mid morning yoga. I always feel so refreshed and loose! This last week LIVELY released their Good Vibes line and they are to die for! They sent me the Long Lined Bralette in Fresh White and I'm obsessed. It's great for lounging or going to yoga, pretty much anytime. I love what LIVELY embodies as a company and how they are such supportive women. To me #livingLIVELY means living life to my fullest ability with a good sense of humor, and seeing the beauty in the life around me.
I am currently writing this driving through New Mexico on my way to the Grand Canyon and California! A little bit distracted! So far we have seen some wild antelope, stoped on Route 66, and are about to drive through the mountains jamming to Sam Hunt's new song Body Like a Backroad (SO GOOD) :) Be sure to follow along on with me on Instagram!
Happy Spring Break 2017!!!
How cute is this little yellow door!?
Little life update! Sundays... the perfect day to lounge all morning, eat pancakes, watch She's the Man, and go out for coffee. This last weekend, I watched a little too much tv, but I think that is just what I needed. Last night I got to spend some sweet time with my best girlfriends that are in town for spring break and of course we ate at Table Mesa... our favorite downtown spot! Nothing like some girl talk with some incredible woman that I have gotten to see grow so much over the years :) Also, happy International Women's Day, babes support your babes!
I could wear this Free People Sacramento tee so many different ways, it might get over worn. Over a button up, with a denim skirt or shorts, with a lacey bralette, or as a pj top! Pretty much anytime, anywhere. That's how I feel about most Free People basics. You can never go wrong! These high waisted jeans from GAP are also my new go-to because some of my shirts are cropped style and I don't want to reach up and have my stomach showing! I can move freely in them and they still look good!
I hope everyone is having a great week, I'm ready for the weekend! :)
It's was 80 degrees and pretty much a never ending wind gust here in Fayetteville today. When Austin and I went to go shoot this outfit, my hair was curled in a half up bun, but it was so crazy windy that it all ended up in this crazy bun! His idea actually :) Then of course we ended the evening with some Mexican food, our favorite if we have to admit.
The sunsets have been my favorite lately, such light and rich pinks! I came across this quote one time that I always think of when I'm overcome by a sunset's beauty.
"If you can still feel romanced by a sunset, then you must be closer to your maker than you thought." ~ Beth Moore
The transition from Winter to Spring is always fun for me. I am always so eager to ditch the winter clothes and layers for dress and jumpers and shorts that I probably dive in too early. I have to make myself start with springy patterns and colors before I take off the layers because I'm such a cold body. One way I start the transition is by keeping the booties and light jackets but pairing them with a lighter weight dress or skirt. This romper is so fun with the cross cross back but is more for summer so I paired it with this BCBG overlay to keep covered up (no thanks to the wind). I love all of BCBG's pieces because I can always find something specific to my feminine style!
Thank goodness its finally Friday! Have a wonderful weekend! XO
